MISSION COMPLETED! | #RideWithRio Cycle Challenge | Please Sponsor our TAW School Talks

AIM:

The goal was for Nick & Rio (person with disabilities) to cycle together with inclusion, 100kms everyday of June, to cover 3,000kms

ACHIEVED:

Together they cycled every day of June, covered 3,077kms in 140 hours; equivalent of cycling Dubai to Istanbul, Turkey

Daily, we got up at 2.15am to start at 3am; Rio was probably the only person that got up everyday with the biggest smile & full of happy enthusiasm for what was ahead; he truly loved it; he was in his happy place!

Nick pushed 85+kgs (weight of bike & Rio) for the daily 100kms, in the June heat; it took them averagely 4hrs 45mins, everyday; some days were windy, some humid, we had 6 punctures, 3 torn tyres & a broken rear wheel - it was hard, it was testing, it was long BUT the goal was achieved & Rio is happy, we can’t ask for more!

We had lots of people join us; THANK YOU to all those that got up early, shared their time, energy, company & motivation - very grateful to you all!

Some days it was just Nick & Rio, solo ride - it’s  been a time of great reflection!

1. Impact Talks Options for schools:

1a: The Team AngelWolf Story by Nick Watson (1 hour. Targeted at all Grades/Years)

This motivational talk shares the story of Rio and how Team AngelWolf came to be. Overcoming attitudinal, social, and physical barriers, TAW has opened doors to inclusion in sports and community events.

This talk starts the connection, interest and motivation with Inclusive Impactivity.

1b: The Little Wolf Story by Tia Watson (30 mins. Targeted at Primary ages: Grade 5/Year 6 and below)

This motivational talk is by Tia, 16 year old sister of Rio from Team AngelWolf. This is HER story; her journey with inclusion, being a young caregiver, sister to Rio, a triathlete (as an inclusive athlete and solo athlete), her accomplishments, her Guinness World Record attempt with Rio, and, her message about inclusion.

Value of each talk:

• 1a: The Team AngelWolf Story by Nick Watson (60 minutes): 5,000AED
• 1b: The Little Wolf Story by Tia Watson (30 mins): 2,500AED
• Every time we reach the sponsorship of 2,500 AED or 5,000AED we offer a school within the United Arab Emirates, either The Little Wolf Story or The Team AngelWolf Story, for free!

Sponsorship Returns of Team Angel Wolf ‘WolfPack Impact Talks’ for schools:

Within the Impact Talk for schools, a sponsorship slide can be included in the presentation, listing the corporate/individual sponsors for that specific Impact Talk. Or, sponsorships can be left anonymous (optional).

The level placement of sponsorship will be tiered in accordance to the sponsorship given.

When Team AngelWolf do a social media post about the Impact Talk for a school that was visited, it can be mentioned in the post who all the specific corporate/individual sponsors were or it can be left anonymous (optional). The level placement of sponsorship will be tiered in accordance to the sponsorship given.

Sponsors can nominate a United Arab Emirates based school they would like to receive the Team AngelWolf: ‘WolfPack Impact Talks’ for schools.

Please note we cannot guarantee each individual sponsors preference. We will select the majority preference for each group of sponsorship and it will be dependant on Team AngelWolf and on the schools final approvals and acceptance of invitation.

Terms & Conditions with Sponsorship:

General points with sponsorship of Team Angel Wolf ‘WolfPack Impact Talks’ for schools:

• The Team AngelWolf: ‘WolfPack Impact Talks’ for schools for this challenge are independent from other packages offered by Team Angel Wolf.
• Sponsorship packages are non transferable or refundable
• Sponsorship given/received towards ‘Team AngelWolf: ‘WolfPack Impact Talks’ for schools remains valid, for days that Nick is not able to cycle with Rio or the challenge is not completed, for unforeseen reasons.
• Appearance of Team AngelWolf family members and or Rio at talks is subject to their well-being and availability; other exterior presenters may be involved.
• Team AngelWolf: ‘WolfPack Impact Talks’ to be given to a school, needs to be agreed in detail at least 15 days in advance.
• Team Angel Wolf has the full control over the Impact Talk contents.
• Technical requirements in Team AngelWolf Impact Talks are the responsibility of the schools.

2. Impact Workshop (1.5 hours)

2a: The “A B4 I - a fresh look at inclusion” workshop

Do you know what inclusion is? Do you really know? This workshop invites participants to look deep within themselves to identify unconscious bias, adopt inclusive-friendly language, disability etiquettes and see value in differences; whilst addressing accessibility before inclusion.

The workshop empowers the audience to gain knowledge and to confidently break down fears and barriers.

(The workshop has been developed in collaboration with an industry professional based on research findings and data-driven content).

3. Impact Inclusive Activity (2 hour)

3a: WolfPack Bounce at BOUNCE

Participants will join the inclusive environment to explore connection with people of determination and break down internal barriers to open themselves to a community seeking to belong. An hour of inclusive, social, active fun!

The activity is a perfect opportunity to put the new motivation and knowledge into experience and action.

After the Foundation Package is completed, there are more options for schools to deepen and further their journey opportunity with Inclusive Impactivity by participating in more optional adds ons (based around accessibility & inclusion) e.g.

• Further choices of motivational talks by guest speakers
• More choices of workshops
• Other inclusive activities
• Impact projects of entrepreneurship, innovation and social impactImpact consultancy
