MISSION COMPLETED! #RideWithRio Challenge

AIM:
The goal was for Nick & Rio (person with disabilities) to cycle together with inclusion, 100kms everyday of June, to cover 3,000kms
ACHIEVED:
Together they cycled every day of June, covered 3,077kms in 140 hours; equivalent of cycling Dubai to Istanbul, Turkey
Daily, we got up at 2.15am to start at 3am; Rio was probably the only person that got up everyday with the biggest smile & full of happy enthusiasm for what was ahead; he truly loved it; he was in his happy place!
Nick pushed 85+kgs (weight of bike & Rio) for the daily 100kms, in the June heat; it took them averagely 4hrs 45mins, everyday; some days were windy, some humid, we had 6 punctures, 3 ripped tyres & a broken rear wheel - it was hard, it was testing, it was long BUT the goal was achieved & Rio is happy, we can’t ask for more!
We had lots of people join us; THANK YOU to all those that got up early, shared their time, energy, company & motivation - very grateful to you all!
Some days it was just Nick & Rio, solo ride - it’s been a time of great reflection!
